ST DONAT Márga Furmint válogatás 2021

An astonishing Furmint from the northern shore of Lake Balaton. Perfectly ripe grapes were harvested from three excellent vineyards lying on marl/limestone soil, their slopes overlooking the lake. Fermented and matured for 8 months in ceramic containers, giving the wine a silky, mouth-watering palate with notes of grapefruit citrus, apple and fine minerality.

There’s a lovely smoky, spicy edge to the sweet lemony fruit here, with nice detail. This has depth but also fine spicy precision. Lovely fruit, and real detail and finesse. 94/100
