The parcels of Domaine Stumpf are primly situated about half way up the hill Nagy-Eged, this mythical mount of Eger, where the soil structure is probably the best, and it can still retain enough water. The high proportion of limestone gives a good frame of acidity.
This "Bull's Blood" is a blend of 45% kékfrankos, 30% cabernet sauvignon and 25% merlot. Spontaneous fermentation, 18 months in large oak barrels of local origin. No filtering.
The nose, very rich, offers several layers: blackcurrant and cherry, tobacco, cigar box, humus. It has a beautiful vivacity in the mouth, good structure, with notes of black fruits, herbs, and spices of kékfrankos. Medium body +, powerful, mineral. Long and elegant wine.
