RUPPERT Merlot 2017

Another vintage of Merlot emerged from the hat, this time with more oak, shorter ageing and a ripe and rich character similar to its predecessors. It was fermented in vats, then aged mostly in used and  30% in new Hungarian and French oak barrels, for a year and a half. Plums, blackberries, mature notes and lots of spices appear on the nose. The palate is velvety and full, yet fresh, with flavours of red and blue berries, pepper, clove, rose pepper and vanilla appearing.
