KALÁKA Galyagos Furmint 2017

The Galyagos is historically a Third-class vineyard in the immediate vicinity of Tállya. It's the workhorse of the village: it's hard to find its character as a whole, but lots of colours open up in its details. This vineyard is anyway capable of surprises: incredibly nice minerality surfaces from it with a few grams of residual sugar, while it has rounded out to be our dry wine with the best drinkability. In 2017, it was made with a five-time piled up fermentation [putting fresh must on already fermenting wine]."

The crop of 50-year old Furmint vines from the andesite-tuff upper part of the Galyagos vineyard. Fermentation happened spontaneously in tanks. Layered, elegant aromas, then a harmonious palate that is rounded out by the 10 grams of residual sugar alongside the taut acids.
