Eger and Szekszárd can both legally make Bikavér (Bulls Blood), but the soil, climate and styles are completely different. Kékfrankos is the base of the blend and Kadarka adds the spices while the Bordeaux varieties are well suited to add weight, texture and aromatics.

Csilla and Csaba Sebestyén are pioneering a new, fresher, lighter style of Szekszárdi Bikavér and their Mozaik blend is one of the finest. Highly perfumed with hits of tobacco, cherries and redcurrants with refreshing acidity and light tannins, this seductive Hungarian red is delicious lightly chilled.
