TOKAJ NOBILIS Barakonyi Furmint 2019

Saci Bárdos described the 2019 vintage as one of the best of the last 10 years: in addition to the warm summer, rain fell regularly, and this way the grapes could develop nicely and evenly.

After the harvest at the end of September, the vinification took place in the usual way – following the gentle pressing, the must was spontaneously fermented in oak barrels, then aged for 6 months in 1- to 5-year-old, 220-litre Zemplén oak barrels.

The well-known ‘Barakonyi’ notes of pear, mint and pollen on the nose with very fine oak. The palate is also rich and complex, with an extremely long aftertaste.
