"A beautiful, aged full-bodied Kékfrankos, an important variety, from an important vineyard," says Dani Konyári.

From a small-bunched German clone that yields concentrated wines, the grafts of which Dani brought up to the hill in 2003. One-quarter of it was aged in new barrels, the larger part in used 500-litre barrels for 12 months. "The János-hegy is a plot with more clay than all our other locations, it was obvious that it calls for a Burgundy-originating variety." It’s a particularly rich and intense take on the grape variety. Juicy chocolate and dark cherry notes, spicy, peppery aromas and a round body come together to make an incredibly pleasing and likeable wine.
