This is KVG, from a legendary single vineyard, Kővágó (Stone Cutter/Mine), abandoned since the phylloxera ravage, and have been replanted just recently. This is actually the very first vintage of this Grand cru.
50-50% Furmint and Hárslevelű, fermented and aged 4 months in large oak barrels. Residual sugar 7.5 grammes per litre, acidity 7.2 grammes per litre.
“Modern notes, direct bouquet ... however the wine, according to Károly Barta, spontaneously fermented. A kind of white luminosity radiates from every part of the wine, completely different from everything else, of course this is the first harvest-effect. Exciting sweet tones, fresh, youthful notes, lots of primary fruit. Riesling features are present in the mouth here as well, but with a sweet, fruity finish and a strong minerality. Pleasant, balanced feeling of fullness.” 7+ (Táncoló medve)
